HOW DOES IT WORK?
The PPE vending machine has an inbuilt smart card reader which works in conjunction with smart cards. The cards don’t have any monetary value stored on them, but are a way to track information about the transaction and the dispensed item.
- SINCE EVERY DISPENSED ITEM IS LINKED TO A SCANNED CARD, IT MEANS THAT ITEMS CANNOT BE STOLEN, REDUCING WORKPLACE THEFT
The technology can also work with keyrings, as well as special stickers. These stickers can be placed on current employee cards that staff may already have.
There is no need to panic if a card gets lost, stolen or damaged. When a particular card needs to be replaced, management can simply deactivate the old card, thus rendering it unusable.
